I trust you can still hear music and what not with no issues.? Have you installed any vst's recently? I read somewhere once that someone was having a similar problem just by having a particular vst installed - regardless of whether it was open or not. Not if it's causing CPU spikes like that. I highly doubt it would be the soundcard tbh. I usually get like 1 overrun max on the laptop when i have a complete song with all of the effects and vsts running. So just asking if anyone knows if this is a soundcard problem or just something I'm doing wrong? Should be fun!

RAM should also not a problem as laptop has 4gb and pc has 8gb. But in both my laptop and pc i dont have a dedicated soundcard but the laptop has worked.
